My Journey into the Technology field as a Data Analyst

In my little experience in this journey, I have discovered that some people who wants to go into a particular technology field have no idea as to which field they have passion for, the courses to take and the next line of action after taking those courses which brings me to writing about my personal experience because it also happened to me.

I had in mind quite alright to pursue a career in the Data Science/Machine Learning/Artificial Intelligence field. I had no prior knowledge of coding and had never taking any online course before, so I started with python programming language which I took on Udemy but I was very confused because the course was a mix up of major applications with Python which included website development, basic python for data analysis, graphical user interface application, game programming, API e.t.c. The course opened my eyes to the variety of applications that can be done with python. But because of the passion I have for numbers, calculation and critical thinking, I started learning data analytics as my basis before switching into data science.

This led me to taking my first course on data analytics titled Data Analysis Masterclass on Udemy which covered the basics and rudiments of data analysis which are Microsoft Excel, SQL, Python for Data Analysis using Numpy and Pandas and Tableau for Data Visualisation. After taking this course, I became confident that the field is meant for me which led me to taking other courses which I will share with you in coming blogs.

I therefore encourage as many that are willing to go into the Data Analytics field to start now….it’s not too early rather is it too late. Consistency, dedication and hard work makes a big difference which I believe you will put into to achieve a great and excellent result.
