Hello followers and newly subscribed followers, it’s been a minute of writing. Happy New Year to you all, I pray that we all achieve our good heart desires this new year. I’m so glad to connect with you all once again through writing.

So today, I’ll be writing on my experience tutoring as a data analyst.

Right from my secondary school days, I have always had a passion for imparting knowledge to others. After transitioning to data analysis, I opened this blog as a way of sharing my knowledge with others which I have been able to achieve since I started. It is this same passion that propelled me to get a part-time data analyst instructor job even though I had little or no time.

This experience in itself has been a wonderful one as I have been able to improve not only my technical skills but also my communication and time management skills.

One of the challenges I have overcome in the course of this journey is public speaking, I have been able to sharpen my public speaking and human interaction skills.

I have been able to meet various aspiring data analysts with different learning abilities and I have helped them to understand no matter their learning pace. For me, I find it very interesting teaching someone with a slow learning ability as it makes me derive methods that can make the student understand quickly.

This tutoring job also sharpened my SQL skills, most especially learning to use a different database. I have always been used to MYSQL, however, I now use POSTGRESQL which is quite interesting.

The job has also encouraged me to keep learning and staying updated as I wouldn’t want to be caught unaware by any of my students.

I want to use this medium to thank Torilo Academy (https://www.linkedin.com/company/torilo-academy/mycompany/) for allowing me to exercise my passion.

Finally, I have been getting a lot of requests for mentorship, help to transition e.t.c from LinkedIn of which I have helped some people when I had the time at no cost.

I will be starting a tutoring hub for data analysis this year that will also include mentorship, and helping to source for internships. This service will be provided at a discounted cost for anyone interested. The name of the hub is BAJISMALYTICS. You can do well to follow the page on Instagram, LinkedIn, and X and stay tuned for updates.

Thanks for your support and encouragement.
